How much business is your blog bringing in? Are you tracking analytics and what are you discovering? If you want to know how to grow your blog in 2021 you first need to determine:
Do you need a blog?
What will you put on the blog?
What keywords and key phrases are you using on your blog?
How often will you blog?
Where will you share your completed blog – which social media platforms or in your newsletter, etc.
If this is your first year in business or if this is the first year you are going to blog, it is an excellent choice for growing brand awareness. A potential customer or client will connect with you more fully if you share blog content. Your blog posts help a client get to know you, introduce them to your philosophies and also help them solve pain points (if your posts are crafted properly).
Here are some ways to think about your blog and put in a growth strategy for it.
Who is your audience? Do you know your demographics? Do you know when, and how, they will buy from you? Do you have your products and services fully listed to make it easy for them to make a purchase or reach out to you for more information.
Are you sharing value-driven content? Teach your potential clients and clients something. If they come to your site and all you’re giving is “fluff” they won’t come back. Their time is valuable, treat it that way and address their pain points.
Engage with your audience. If your audience comments on your blog posts or if they comment on your social media posts, make certain you are having that conversation. Connecting will help you build community.
Track your results. If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there. That is a quote I have probably just butchered, but it’s true. If you don’t know what results you want to achieve, how will you know if you’ve arrived? If you don’t know which results matter the most to your business, how till you know if it’s valuable enough to focus on?
We applaud you if you’re adding a blog component to your marketing strategies in 2021! If you need guidance and help constructing a strategy that makes sense for you, reach out!
