Coronavirus is hitting many small business owners hard. The Coronavirus pandemic, though, has also been sparking the entrepreneurial spirit in many individuals. If you have the idea and desire to start a new business but aren’t sure what you can do on a shoestring for marketing we have some ideas you can use. We have three low cost marketing ideas that will help your business get found and compete in social media with your competitors — believe me, your competitors are online and are marketing!
Three Low Cost Marketing Ideas
Sit down and set your business budget and don’t forget to budget time and money for your marketing.
- Prepare a content strategy. Your content strategy could include: a blog on your website, your social media presence, the content you’d put out in a newsletter, the downloadable ethical bribe you’re using to get people on your email list and what your company’s keywords and key phrases are. Content remains king and you need to know what your content strategy will be and how you will share your message in order to remain competitive.
- Make sure your site is mobile friendly. More than half of all people — much, much more — are on their smartphones and tablets more than they are on a computer. Your site needs to be mobile friendly. Also, if your business model lends itself to an app then put some money behind having an app created.
- Leverage a social media presence. You don’t have to put any money behind Facebook or LinkedIn ads when you’re just starting out, but you do want to have a social presence. What social media platform should your business be on? That depends on your client demographic. If you need help to determine who and what that is and where they are, reach out to us, we can help.
Don’t let your business become a statistic simply because you didn’t think that marketing, a marketing strategy and a social media presence weren’t worth investing in.
